Premier League Predictions - Gameweek 35

I correctly predicted the outcome of seven matches in Gameweek 34. I predicted wins for Bournemouth, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Middlesbrough and Tottenham as well as a draw in the Manchester derby. There were two perfect scores amongst them, Man United's 2-0 win at Burnley and Middlesbrough's 1-0 victory over Sunderland. I'm looking forward to Gameweek 35, my predictions for which can be found below.

Southampton vs Hull
Saturday 29th April 2017, 15.00

Southampton lost their second straight league match in Gameweek 34, a 4-2 defeat at Chelsea. Hull picked up a massive win in their bid for Premier League survival, a 2-0 victory at home to Watford.

Two former Chelsea players scored at Stamford Bridge, but it wasn't enough for Claude Puel's men as they were well beaten by the league leaders. They were a goal down inside five minutes and although Oriol Romeu equalised, Chelsea restored their lead in first-half injury-time. That goal right on the stroke of half-time killed Saints, and Chelsea added another two in the second-half, meaning Ryan Bertrand's late header was a mere consolation.

Hull's fine home form under Marco Silva continued as they beat Watford 2-0 despite playing the majority of the match with ten men after Oumar Niasse's harsh sending off. Fellow loanee Lazar Markovic opened the scoring and Sam Clucas scored an absolute scorcher as Hull remain a place above the drop zone, two points clear of Swansea.

Hull City v Watford - Premier League : News Photo
Markovic and Clucas kept Hull's fate in their own hands (Getty Images)

Hull's away form has been a factor in their current position, as they have only picked up five points on their travels this season. St Mary's is another tough venue and Saints will be looking to return to winning ways after tough matches against Manchester City and Chelsra in their last two. I fancy the hosts here.

Prediction: 2-1

Stoke vs West Ham
Saturday 29th April 2017, 15.00

Stoke suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat at struggling Swansea last Saturday. West Ham played out a drab 0-0 at home to Everton.

It was another frustrating afternoon for Mark Hughes, who found his side a goal down at the Liberty Stadium inside ten minutes. The Potters had the chance to equalise in the second-half but Marko Arnautovic skied a penalty won by Xherdan Shaqiri, and Swansea doubled their lead seconds later. It left Hughes admitting his side "need to be better at managing the game and affecting the opposition."

West Ham are unbeaten in three and have drawn their last two, the most recent of which an uneventful 0-0 draw with Everton at the London Stadium. It is good to see the Hammers more competitive in recent weeks after a run of five straight defeats before their recent resurgence.

This should be a good game between two sides that are safe going into the final weeks of the season. Stoke is a tough place to go, and I fancy the home side to return to winning ways this weekend.

Prediction: 3-1

Sunderland vs Bournemouth
Saturday 29th April 2017, 15.00

Sunderland lost 1-0 at relegation rivals Middlesbrough on Wednesday and are now six points adrift of 19th. They look to be in big, big trouble. Bournemouth beat Middlesbrough (who played twice in Gameweek 34) 4-0 at home in their last match.

Sunderland's failure to score goals cost them again at the Riverside. A win against Boro would have been a big lift, but even if they win their game in hand they will remain bottom of the table. It's been a disastrous season for David Moyes, who knows a season in the Championship is surely looming.

Bournemouth picked up three points against Boro on Saturday, ending a run of four games without a win. Josh King and Benik Afobe continued their good form, and goals from Marc Pugh and Charlie Daniels made the points safe at the Vitality Stadium.

AFC Bournemouth v Middlesbrough - Premier League : News Photo
Josh King now has 14 Premier League goals this campaign (Getty Images)

Sunderland know that relegation is virtually inevitable now, and will be on a real low after midweek defeat at the Riverside. I can only see Bournemouth winning this one.

Prediction: 0-2

West Brom vs Leicester
Saturday 29th April 2017, 15.00

West Brom return to Premier League action for the first time since Gameweek 33, when they lost 1-0 at home to Liverpool. Leicester were beaten 1-0 at Arsenal on Wednesday night.

The Baggies are on a three-match losing run and Tony Pulis will have been working them hard in the time that they've had away from the Premier League spotlight. They were deservedly beaten by Liverpool in a scrappy game at the Hawthorns, and it was unlike them to concede from a set-piece.

Leicester were unlucky to lose in the last five minutes at Arsenal, Robert Huth the unlucky man after Nacho Monreal's strike deflected off him and past Kasper Schmeichel. The Foxes are now without a win in three in the league but do have a game in hand over the sides around them.

Leicester were unlucky at Arsenal and West Brom are on a poor run of form despite a really impressive season overall. I think the points will be shared here.

Prediction: 1-1

Crystal Palace vs Burnley
Saturday 29th April 2017, 17.30

Crystal Palace played twice in the last Gameweek, enjoying a brilliant 2-1 win at Liverpool before losing 1-0 at home to Spurs on Wednesday. Burnley lost 2-0 at home to Manchester United on Sunday, a second straight defeat.

Palace were excellent at Anfield, battling from behind to beat Liverpool courtesy of a Christian Benteke brace. They are a lot more resilient under Sam Allardyce, and were unlucky to lose at home to Tottenham, a fine Christian Eriksen strike the difference. The Eagles now sit 12th and should be aiming for a strong end to the season.

Burnley were comfortably beaten by United at Turf Moor, and it's been a bad week for Sean Dyche with the news that Joey Barton has been banned from football for 18 months for breaking betting regulations. Barton is a trusted member of Burnley's hard-working midfield, and he will be missed by the Clarets.

Everton v Burnley - Premier League : News Photo
Joey Barton will be missed at Burnley (Getty Images)

Crystal Palace are playing a lot better recently and have beaten the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in April. Despite losing to Spurs, I'm backing them to win against a Burnley side who have had a bad week and struggle on the road.

Prediction: 3-0

Manchester United vs Swansea
Sunday 30th April 2017, 12.00

Manchester United played twice last Gameweek, winning 2-0 at Burnley and drawing 0-0 at rivals Manchester City. Swansea picked up an important three points in their bid for survival, beating Stoke 2-0 at home.

Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney scored for United on Sunday as they won 2-0 at Turf Moor to set themselves up nicely for the Manchester derby. It was a feisty game at the Etihad on Thursday, and United will be without Marouane Fellaini against Swansea after the Belgian stupidly got himself sent off.

Swansea finally won after a run of six league games without victory. It was a good win, too, against a solid Stoke side. They got off the mark quickly, Fernando Llorente heading home after ten minutes, and Tom Carroll doubled the lead in the second half immediately after a missed Stoke penalty. Paul Clement will surely set his side up to defend at Old Trafford.

United's point at City keeps them firmly on track for a top four place and Jose Mourinho will be happy at the resilience that his side showed. They should pick up another three points towards their target here.

Prediction: 2-0

Everton vs Chelsea
Sunday 30th April 2017, 14.05

Everton are unbeaten in four after a 0-0 draw at West Ham in their last league fixture. Chelsea picked up another win in their quest for the title, beating Southampton 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.

There isn't much to report from Everton's match at the London Stadium, but they will be happy with a clean sheet away from home and will be looking to extend their winning run at Goodison Park to nine straight victories against league leaders Chelsea.

Chelsea bounced back from defeat at Manchester United with a good 4-2 home win over Southampton. It was their second straight 4-2 win in all competitions, after Antonio Conte's men progressed to the FA Cup final at the expense of Spurs. Eden Hazard, Gary Cahill and Diego Costa were the goalscorers as the Blues brushed aside Southampton.

Chelsea v Southampton - Premier League : News Photo
Costa scored twice and created another against Southampton (Getty Images)

Everton are in phenomenal form at home but face a massive test on Sunday. Chelsea have the title in their sights, but I fancy the Toffees to hold them to a draw here.

Prediction: 1-1

Middlesbrough vs Manchester City
Sunday 30th April 2017, 14.05

Middlesbrough played twice in Gameweek 34, losing 4-0 at Bournemouth but beating Sunderland 1-0 in a relegation six-pointer on Wednesday. Manchester City drew 0-0 at home to Manchester United on Thursday.

Boro were woeful at Bournemouth, but weren't helped by Gaston Ramirez's red card in the first-half. Steve Agnew's men were already 2-0 at that point, and Bournemouth added another two in the second-half on a comfortable afternoon. That defeat made Middlesbrough's win over Sunderland all the more impressive. Marten de Roon's goal gave Agnew his first win in charge at the Riverside, but he still has a massive task on his hands to keep them in the Premier League.

City's 0-0 draw at home to United wasn't a great spectacle, but was another decent point towards a top-four finish. Gabriel Jesus thought he had won it late on but his header was correctly ruled out for offside in a match in which Marouane Fellaini's red card was the only other real talking point. Pep Guardiola's men will have been happy to avoid back-to-back defeats after exiting the FA Cup at the semi-final stage last weekend.

Boro picked up a first league win of 2017 on Wednesday, but that was against a woeful Sunderland side and this is a whole different challenge. City have no chance of silverware this season and should pick up another win towards a Champions League spot here without that pressure.

Prediction: 0-3

Tottenham vs Arsenal
Sunday 30th April 2017, 16.30

Tottenham go into the North London derby on the back of a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Wednesday. Arsenal beat Leicester on the same day, by the same scoreline. There were mixed fortunes for these two on FA Cup duty last weekend, as Spurs exited the semi-finals at the hands of Chelsea, who will play Arsenal after the Gunners beat Manchester City.

Spurs were in a battle at Selhurst Park but defended typically well and won the game thanks to an excellent long-range strike from Christian Eriksen. That means that they reduced the gap between themselves and Chelsea back to four points.

Arsenal left it late but beat Leicester thanks to an own-goal from Robert Huth. Nacho Monreal had the initial shot, and it's been a very good week for him after he equalised in the FA Cup semi-final against Man City. Arsene Wenger's men have now won their last two in the league, but travel to their rivals who have won their last eight Premier League matches.

Spurs are grinding out results in the league and look prepared to chase Chelsea right until the end. Arsenal still don't look convincing despite an upswing in form, and I fancy Spurs to win it thanks to a massive home advantage at White Hart Lane.

Prediction: 2-1

Watford vs Liverpool
Monday 1st May 2017, 20.00

Watford remain 10th after a disappointing 2-0 defeat at ten-man Hull last time out. Liverpool's seven-game unbeaten run came to an end in a shock 2-1 home defeat against Crystal Palace.

Walter Mazzarri will be pleased to return to Vicarage Road this week after a defeat at Hull which was their fourth straight away loss. They played for 65 minutes against ten-men, conceding both goals in that time, and skipper Troy Deeney admitted his side were far from good enough, letting down the travelling Hornets.

Liverpool's top-four chances are back out of their hands after a poor home defeat against Crystal Palace. The Reds had led through Philippe Coutinho's excellent free-kick, but familiar poor defending saw former striker Christian Benteke net twice to turn the game on its head. Liverpool now look to be depending on other results if they are to achieve their ambition of qualifying for the Champions League.

The Reds can't afford any more slip-ups, and face an inconsistent Watford side. Liverpool's recent away league form has been good, winning scrappy games at Stoke and West Brom, and they'll need to show similar desire to win at Watford. I think they will.

Prediction: 1-2

Premier League Predictions - Gameweek 34

Gameweek 33 saw me record eight correct results in the Premier League, but no perfect scores! I predicted wins for Tottenham, Everton, Stoke, Watford, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal, as well as calling a draw between Sunderland and West Ham. Gameweek 34 carries over to Thursday 27th April, and I'm hoping for some perfect scores over a busy period.

Bournemouth vs Middlesbrough
Saturday 22nd April 2017, 15.00

Bournemouth lost their second successive league game last weekend, 4-0 at Tottenham. Middlesbrough lost 2-1 at home to Arsenal on Monday night and are the only side in the country not to have won a league game in 2017.

Bournemouth came up against the league's form side at White Hart Lane, and it showed. Spurs were 2-0 up inside twenty minutes courtesy of some shoddy defending, and doubled that score-line in the second half. Eddie Howe's week got even worse this week with the news that Jack Wilshere has fractured his leg and will be out for the rest of the season. That could mean that the on-loan Arsenal midfielder has played his last game at the Vitality Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur v AFC Bournemouth - Premier League : News Photo
Wilshere's season is over (Getty Images)

Middlesbrough gave Arsenal a decent game at the Riverside on Monday but another defeat leaves them 19th in the league, six points from safety albeit with one game in hand. Steve Agnew knows he has a mountain to climb if he wants to keep Boro in the Premier League, and they really need to find a win here. Alvaro Negredo scored the goal against Arsenal, and without him Middlesbrough would already be relegated.

This is exactly the sort of game that Bournemouth need after facing Chelsea and Tottenham in the last two Gameweeks. Boro are completely out of sorts and I can only see a home win on Saturday.

Prediction: 2-0

Hull vs Watford
Saturday 22nd April 2017, 15.00

Hull enter this one on the back of two straight 3-1 defeats, the most recent of which coming at Stoke last Saturday. Watford beat Swansea 1-0 and are sitting comfortably 10th in the table.

Marco Silva's Hull fought from a goal down to draw level at Stoke early in the second half, scored by Harry Maguire, but a double substitution from Stoke proved to be the turning point in the game. Jon Walters and Peter Crouch both entered the field, and Walters crossed for Crouch to restore the hosts lead. Stoke made it 3-1 late in the game, leaving Hull 17th, just two points above the bottom three.

Watford enjoyed another win at Vicarage Road, beating Swansea 1-0 courtesy of Etienne Capoue's goal. It was a third win from the Hornets' last four league games, and saw them reach the magic 40 points total for the season.

Hull are fighting for their lives and will have highlighted this game as a massive chance to record three points. Watford are safe in mid-table but Walter Mazzarri's men will be competitive as always and I think they'll leave Hull with a point.

Prediction: 1-1

Swansea vs Stoke
Saturday 22nd April 2017, 15.00

Swansea remain in the relegation zone after that 1-0 defeat at Watford last weekend. Stoke beat Hull 3-1 at home to end a run of four straight league defeats.

Swansea's defeat at Vicarage Road means they are now without a Premier League victory in six, losing five of those matches. After a bright start under Paul Clement the form has dipped again but the Welsh club will be optimistic that they have the players to survive. They are just two points adrift of Hull in 17th, and will be desperate to put in a match-winning performance at home on Saturday.

Mark Hughes' double substitution proved to be a brilliant piece of management against Hull. Marko Arnautovic had given the Potters an early lead but the Tigers fought back and got themselves an equaliser. Cue Jon Walters and Peter Crouch, who combined for Crouch to nod home Stoke's second before a sensational Xherdan Shaqiri goal capped off the win.

This is a massive game for Swansea who, like Hull, need to be winning these sorts of games at home if they want to survive. Stoke will be bolstered after their win over Hull, though, and I fancy them to snatch an away win.

Prediction: 1-2

West Ham vs Everton
Saturday 22nd April 2017, 15.00

West Ham are unbeaten in two after a 2-2 draw at Sunderland last weekend. Everton beat Burnley 3-1 at Goodison Park, their eighth straight home league victory.

West Ham led twice at the Stadium of Light, and Slaven Bilic will have been devastated to have conceded so late to squander victory. Andre Ayew and James Collins twice gave the Hammers the lead, but Fabio Borini struck late to snatch a point for Sunderland and things got worse for West Ham when Sam Byram was sent off in the 95th-minute of the match.

Everton's remarkable home form continued thanks to goals from Phil Jagielka (who has scored in each of his last three), a Ben Mee own-goal after good work from Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku, who has scored in nine straight Goodison matches and was this week named in the PFA Team of the Season.

I think this will be a really good game in which both teams will have a go at each other. That should play into Everton's hand with the in-form Lukaku at the top of the pitch, and I think this will be a comfortable away victory.

Prediction: 1-3

Burnley vs Manchester United
Sunday 23rd April 2017, 14.15

Burnley's two-game unbeaten run came to an end in a 3-1 defeat at Everton. Manchester United enjoyed a brilliant 2-0 victory over league leaders Chelsea at Old Trafford, a second straight Premier League success.

Burnley's shocking away run continued at Everton and Sean Dyche will be disappointed at the defensive display of his side in the second period. Sam Vokes won and scored a penalty to draw the Clarets temporarily level, but Ben Mee scored an own-goal and Romelu Lukaku added a third to leave Burnley still searching for a first away victory this season.

Manchester United enjoyed a thoroughly deserved win over Chelsea in an excellent display. Ander Herrera created Marcus Rashford's opener and scored the second himself, all the while completely marking Eden Hazard out of the game. Jose Mourinho will have been delighted to get one over his old side, and his week got even better as Manchester United progressed to the Europa League semi-finals, beating Anderlecht 2-1 (AET) at Old Trafford on Thursday and 2-1 on aggregate.

Manchester United v Chelsea - Premier League : News Photo
Herrera had a fine game against Chelsea (Getty Images)

Burnley are strong at Turf Moor but United are in excellent form and should win despite the fact that they'll be sweating on Zlatan Ibrahimovic's fitness after he limped out of the Europa League clash with Anderlecht. Marcus Rashford will be a more than capable replacement if the big Swede does miss out.

Prediction: 0-2

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace
Sunday 23rd April 2017, 16.30

Liverpool are unbeaten in seven Premier League fixtures and have won their last two after winning 1-0 at West Brom a week ago. Crystal Palace fought from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Leicester.

Liverpool had to scrap at West Brom, but picked up a vital three points in their bid for a top-four finish thanks to Roberto Firmino's header on the stroke of half-time. Jurgen Klopp will be proud of his team after they followed up a tough game at Stoke with another victory at WBA, and his side are back on song at a crucial point in the season.

Sam Allardyce's Palace fought back from 2-0 down against Leicester at Selhurst Park to earn another important point. Yohan Cabaye scored for the second successive league match and Christian Benteke netted the all-important equaliser. Benteke will be looking forward to returning to Anfield and trying to prove a point to Jurgen Klopp, but Palace will be without the impressive Mamadou Sakho, who is on-loan at the club from Anfield.

Crystal Palace v Leicester City - Premier League : News Photo
Benteke would love a goal against his former employers (Getty Images)

This will be another battle for Liverpool with Crystal Palace much improved in recent weeks. The Reds are in confident mood though, and should pick up three points in front of a noisy Anfield.

Prediction: 3-0

Chelsea vs Southampton
Tuesday 25th April 2017, 19.45

Chelsea lost 2-0 at Old Trafford in Gameweek 33, their second defeat in April. They also face Tottenham in their FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley before this match. Southampton were well beaten, 3-0 at home to Manchester City, ending a run of three league matches unbeaten.

Chelsea were well beaten at Manchester United and struggled to live with the pace of Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard. Ander Herrera was United's man-of-the-match though, doing a fantastic man-marking job on Eden Hazard. Chelsea couldn't get their Belgian superstar in the match, and failed to muster a single effort on target in the ninety minutes.

Southampton were well beaten by Manchester City at St Mary's after a poor second-half performance. It was 0-0 at half-time, but Vincent Kompany gave City the lead in the 55th-minute and it was effectively game over then, the visitors scoring a further two goals in the latter stages of the match.

Chelsea are now just four points clear of Spurs at the table, and can't afford any more slip-ups after a disappointing month. I think they'll get back to winning ways against Claude Puel's Southampton, though.

Prediction: 2-0

Arsenal vs Leicester
Wednesday 26th April 2017, 19.45

Arsenal ended a run of four straight away league defeats with a 2-1 win at Middlesbrough and face an FA Cup semi-final against Man City before this one. Leicester surrendered a two-goal lead at Crystal Palace in a 2-2 draw.

Alexis Sanchez, surprisingly overlooked in the PFA Team of the Year, scored a fabulous free-kick to set Arsenal on their way at the Riverside. Middlesbrough found an equaliser, but Mesut Ozil won the game for Arsenal thanks to a well-taken goal. I was surprised to see Arsene Wenger start the game with a back-three, but it was nice to see him trying something different and I'm pleased for him that it paid off.

Leicester's draw at Palace will feel like a loss for Craig Shakespeare, whose side were seemingly cruising towards victory at Selhurst Park after goals from Robert Huth and Jamie Vardy. Crystal Palace fought back to 2-2 but the Foxes defended well in the final twenty minutes to earn a point. Leicester's Champions League fairy-tale ended in midweek as they drew 1-1 at home to Atletico Madrid but exited the competition after losing 2-1 on aggregate.

Arsenal will be looking for back-to-back league wins for the first time since January, and I think they'll get it here. Leicester will be disappointed to have exited Europe but can be proud of being the last English team left in the Champions League.

Prediction: 2-1

Middlesbrough vs Sunderland
Wednesday 26th April 2017, 19.45

The Premier League's bottom two meet at the Riverside in a must-win for both Steve Agnew and David Moyes. Middlesbrough play earlier in Gameweek 34, at Bournemouth, whilst this will be Sunderland's first game since drawing 2-2 with West Ham.

Middlesbrough play Bournemouth on Saturday, a game that I've predicted them to lose 2-0.

Sunderland earned a big point in the circumstances against West Ham thanks to Fabio Borini's late goal. The Black Cats twice came from behind and were deserving of the point they finally earned. Wahbi Khazri scored Sunderland's first goal as they ended a run of three straight league defeats.

This is a tough game to call as I'm predicting it before Middlesbrough's first game of the Gameweek. I'm expecting them to lose that one, but I think that they'll beat Sunderland regardless. The Black Cats are bottom for a reason; they have been the league's worst team and I think Middlesbrough will win the three points here.

Prediction: 1-0

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham
Wednesday 26th April 2017, 20.00

Like Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace play twice this Gameweek, their first game taking place at Anfield. Tottenham enter this game after beating Bournemouth 4-0 in Gameweek 33 and will play Chelsea in an FA Cup semi-final before this match.

Crystal Palace face Liverpool on Sunday, a game that I've predicted them to lose 3-0.

Tottenham went within four points of leaders Chelsea thanks to a 4-0 rout of Bournemouth at White Hart Lane. Goals from Moussa Dembele, Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Vincent Janssen saw Spurs cruise to a seventh league win on the bounce, and Mauricio Pochettino's men will know that they are right in the title race with six games remaining.

I've predicted Palace to lose at Anfield, but even if they don't I think Spurs will have too much for them here. They're playing some fantastic football and are really putting the pressure on Antonio Conte's Chelsea.

Prediction: 0-2

Manchester City vs Manchester United
Thursday 22nd April 2017, 20.00

Manchester City beat Southampton 3-0 at St Mary's last time out in the league and face an FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal before this one. United play earlier in Gameweek 34, at Burnley.

Vincent Kompany will be a delighted man after scoring at St Mary's. He showed exactly what City have missed at the back this season and I hope he's now put his injury woes behind him. Leroy Sane and Sergio Aguero added further goals as City cruised to victory at Southampton.

Southampton v Manchester City - Premier League : News Photo
Back with a bang (Getty Images)

Manchester United play Burnley on Sunday, a game that I've predicted them to win 2-0.

This should be a cracking derby game between two in-form sides. There should be bags of goals, and I think the points will be shared.

Prediction: 2-2

Premier League Predictions - Gameweek 33

I got five correct results from ten last weekend, but no perfect scores. I predicted victories for Tottenham, Manchester City, West Ham, Chelsea and Manchester United. I'm hoping to score some perfect results in Gameweek 33.

Tottenham vs Bournemouth
Saturday 15th April 2017, 12.30

Tottenham beat Watford 4-0 last Saturday, whilst Bournemouth lost 3-1 at home to Chelsea.

Dele Alli lit up Spurs' victory over the Hornets, and was this week nominated for the Young Player of the Year award alongside teammate Harry Kane, who is also nominated for the main prize. Alli opened the scoring at White Hart Lane with a fine curling strike which was followed with goals from Eric Dier and Son Heung-min (2) on a comfortable afternoon for Mauricio Pochettino's men.

Tottenham Hotspur v Everton - Premier League : News Photo
Tottenham's PFA nominees (Getty Images)

Bournemouth were always up against it versus Chelsea and found themselves 2-0 down in twenty minutes, Adam Smith's own-goal opening the scoring. Josh King continued his excellent form with another goal, but it was never enough for the Cherries who face another tough test on Saturday.

Tottenham are flying at the moment and are so strong at home. This has to be a home win.

Prediction: 3-1

Crystal Palace vs Leicester
Saturday 15th April 2017, 15.00

Palace stunned Arsenal on Monday night, winning 3-0 at Selhurst Park. Craig Shakespeare lost his first game in charge of Leicester, 4-2 at Everton.

Sam Allardyce has done a great job with the Eagles and they took a massive leap towards safety with a massive win over Arsenal. Wilfried Zaha was in fine form, and provided assists for Andros Townsend and Yohan Cabaye. Luka Milivijevic added a third from the spot.

Crystal Palace v Arsenal - Premier League : News Photo
Palace were magnificent against Arsenal (Getty Images)

Leicester were 1-0 down inside thirty second at Goodison Park but rallied quickly and were 2-1 up ten minutes later thanks to goals from Islam Slimani and Marc Albrighton. It was a crazy game, though, and Everton were 3-2 ahead at half-time after a comeback of their own. The Foxes didn't create too much in the second period, and Everton added a fourth to down the reigning champions. A second defeat followed on Wednesday with Leicester losing 1-0 at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.

Leicester have lost twice in a week and both have been difficult games. After such a great performance over Arsenal, I'm backing Crystal Palace to win again.

Prediction: 2-1

Everton vs Burnley
Saturday 15th April 2017, 15.00

Everton won their seventh home match in a row in that 4-2 win over Leicester. Burnley drew 0-0 at Middlesbrough.

Everton's fine form continued thanks to goals from Tom Davies, Romelu Lukaku (2) and Phil Jagielka, who scored for the second consecutive match. It was a good performance in a thoroughly entertaining game from Ronald Koeman's team, who remain 7th in the table.

Burnley's away performances have been shocking this season, and the less said about the game at Boro the better. A 0-0 draw leaves the Clarets in 12th.

This should be an eighth home win on the spin for the Toffees. Burnley are poor away, and Everton are excellent at home.

Prediction: 3-0

Stoke vs Hull
Saturday 15th April 2017, 15.00

Stoke lost 2-1 at home to Liverpool last Saturday, whilst Hull lost 3-1 at Manchester City.

Stoke took the lead against the Reds thanks to Jon Walters, and dominated the first-half. They struggled to deal with Liverpool's half-time substitutes, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, though, who both scored as the visitors turned the game around.

Andrea Ranocchia's goal at the Etihad was a mere consolation for Hull, who were 3-0 down after 64 minutes. They were comfortably beaten away, but it will be their home form that saves them if they're to stay in the division.

Stoke is a tough place to go and Hull have struggled on the road. I fancy this to be a solid Potters victory.

Prediction: 2-0

Sunderland vs West Ham
Saturday 15th April 2017, 15.00

Sunderland lost 3-0 at home to Manchester United last Sunday. West Ham earned an important 1-0 home victory over Swansea.

Sunderland remain ten points from safety after they were comfortably beaten at the Stadium of Light as David Moyes faced his old side. It seems a matter of when, not if, Sunderland get relegated now.

West Ham ended their five-game losing run with victory over Swansea. Cheikhou Kouyate scored a fine goal as the Hammers created a gap of eight points between them and the drop zone.

I've been disappointed with West Ham this season and this is a game Sunderland know they need to turn up in. I think this will be a low-scoring draw.

Prediction: 1-1

Watford vs Swansea
Saturday 15th April 2017, 15.00

Two losers in Gameweek 32 meet here. Watford were beaten 4-0 at Tottenam and Swansea lost 1-0 at West Ham.

Watford couldn't live with Spurs' attack as Heurelho Gomes conceded four against his former side. Watford couldn't create anything up the other end and 4-0 did not flatter the hosts.

Swansea were beaten by that fine strike from West Ham's Kouyate. The Swans have lost some momentum under Paul Clement and are 18th, two points from safety.

Walter Mazzarri has done a decent job at Watford this season and I've been impressed by them at Vicarage Road. I'm going with the home side here because of that advantage.

Prediction: 2-0

Southampton vs Manchester City
Saturday 15th April 2017, 17.30

Southampton won 1-0 at West Brom last weekend and City beat Hull 3-1 at the Etihad.

Jordy Clasie scored the goal that was enough to give the Saints three points at the Hawthorns. Southampton are 9th in the league, now just four points adrift of West Brom in 8th.

Man City ended a run of four league games without a win thanks to goals from Ahmed Elmohamady (OG), Sergio Aguero and Fabian Delph. It was a routine victory for Pep Guardiola's charges, but the manager will be disappointed that they lost their clean sheet with five minutes left to play.

This should be a really enjoyable game. Both sides are playing good football, but I fancy City to pick up the points here.

Prediction: 1-3

West Brom vs Liverpool
Sunday 16th April 2017, 13.30

West Brom lost 1-0 at home to Southampton last weekend, and face a Liverpool side who came from a goal down to win 2-1 at Stoke.

West Brom have now lost four of their last six in the league and are on a bit of a slump in form. They didn't create too much against Southampton and were rightly defeated on the day.

Jurgen Klopp left Coutinho and Firmino on the bench at Stoke, but the Brazilian duo proved to be the difference at Stoke after scoring a goal apiece in the second-half. It was a massive victory for Liverpool in the race for the top-four.

Stoke City v Liverpool - Premier League : News Photo
Liverpool's Brazilian boys made all the difference (Getty Images)

This is arguably Liverpool's toughest remaining fixture of the season, so a win here would put them in a great position to earn a Champions League spot. I think they'll be bolstered after beating Stoke, and will win again here.

Prediction: 1-2

Manchester United vs Chelsea
Sunday 16th April 2017, 16.00

United won 3-0 at Sunderland a week ago, and Chelsea won 3-1 at Bournemouth.

It was all too easy for Jose Mourinho's men at the Stadium of Light, who won thanks to goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford. The Red Devils also had a decent result in midweek, drawing 1-1 at Anderlecht in the Europa League and scoring a crucial away-goal in the process.

Chelsea were set on their way by Adam Smith's own-goal, which was quickly added to by Eden Hazard. Bournemouth halved the deficit on the stroke of half-time, but Chelsea's quality told in the second period and they scored a third courtesy of Marcos Alonso's stunning free-kick.

A clash of two managerial heavyweights (Getty Images)

I can't wait for this game. I think both teams will have a go and we should be in for a really entertaining match at Old Trafford.

Prediction: 2-2

Middlesbrough vs Arsenal
Monday 17th April 2017, 20.00

Middlesbrough drew 0-0 at home to Burnley last time out, whilst Arsenal were battered 3-0 at Crystal Palace in last Monday's game.

As I've already alluded to, Boro's game against Burnley was another boring one at the Riverside Stadium. The hosts remain 19th, and look in big, big trouble.

Arsenal were humiliated at Selhurst Park and the calls for the sacking of Arsene Wenger will not stop. The Frenchman needs a win on Monday night.

There is a lot of unrest around the Gunners at the moment, but if they can't win at Middlesbrough then there is something majorly wrong. I have to go for the away side.

Prediction: 0-2

Premier League Predictions - Gameweek 32

The Premier League matches are coming thick and fast at the moment after a midweek Gameweek 31. I recorded four correct results, a little disappointing, but three of those were perfect scores. I predicted wins for Leicester, Watford, Arsenal and Tottenham, getting exact scores in Leicester's 2-0 win over Sunderland, Arsenal's 3-0 win over West Ham and Spurs' 3-1 victory at Swansea. Gameweek 32:

Tottenham vs Watford
Saturday 8th April 2017, 12.30

Both teams enter this clash at White Hart Lane on the back of midweek victories, the hosts winning 3-1 at Swansea and the visitors winning 2-0 at home to West Brom.

Spurs left it extremely late at Swansea but picked up a massive three points. They trailed until the 88th-minute, in which Dele Alli equalised, before goals from Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen won it for Mauricio Pochettino's men.

Swansea City v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League : News Photo
It was late but great from Spurs at Swansea (Getty Images)

Watford won their second straight league match, beating West Brom 2-0 at Vicarage Road thanks to goals from M'Baye Niang and Troy Deeney on a comfortable night for the Hornets. Walter Mazzarri will be without Miguel Britos on Saturday after he was sent off in the 65th-minute on Tuesday.

Spurs are the only team with a realistic chance of catching Chelsea, but are seven points adrift. I think they'll stay within that distance at least with a victory here.

Prediction: 3-0

Manchester City vs Hull
Saturday 8th April 2017, 15.00

Manchester City lost 2-1 at Chelsea on Wednesday, whilst Hull beat Middlesbrough 4-2 at home on the same day.

City were second best at Chelsea, as so many have been this season. They struggled to deal with Eden Hazard, who scored both Chelsea goals, and Sergio Aguero's tap in was a mere consolation.

Hull's excellent home form under Marco Silva continued thanks to goals from loanees Lazar Markovic and Oumar Niasse, alongside strikes from Abel Hernandez and Harry Maguire. It was a thoroughly entertaining bottom-of-the-table clash at the KCOM, and a deserved win for Hull sees them rise to 17th and out of the relegation zone for now.

Marco Silva has really impressed me (Getty Images)

Marco Silva has given Hull a real chance of staying up, but you can't expect them to get anything at the Etihad despite a midweek loss for Pep Guardiola's team.

Prediction: 4-1

Middlesbrough vs Burnley
Saturday 8th April 2017, 15.00

Middlesbrough lost 4-2 in that game at Hull, whilst Burnley won 1-0 at home to Stoke on Tuesday.

Boro took an early lead at Hull through Alvaro Negredo but found themselves 3-1 down in the 33rd-minute in an unusually weak defensive display. Marten de Roon made it 3-2 on the stroke of half-time but Hull added a fourth in the second period to leave Steve Agnew's side 19th.

Burnley edged a tight encounter with Stoke, courtesy of George Boyd's 58th-minute goal. It was another impressive home display from Sean Dyche's team at Turf Moor.

Middlesbrough have to win on Saturday and I think they will. Burnley's away form has been the only negative from an impressive campaign, and I fancy Boro to win a close game at the Riverside.

Prediction: 2-1

Stoke vs Liverpool
Saturday 8th April 2017, 15.00

Stoke lost 1-0 at Burnley on Tuesday night, whilst Liverpool drew 2-2 with Bournemouth at Anfield on Wednesday.

Stoke didn't offer too much at Turf Moor and they have now lost their last three in a row. Mark Hughes will fancy his team's chances against a Liverpool side who struggle in these types of game, however.

Liverpool came from a goal behind thanks to Phillipe Coutinho and Divock Origi, but surrendered their lead in the dying minutes in a disappointing 2-2 draw with the Cherries. Jurgen Klopp needs to add much more resilience to his side in the summer, but they need to show character for the rest of the season if they want to finish in the top four.

This is a tough game for Liverpool, who face West Brom away after this. The next two game's are Liverpool's toughest remaining fixtures of the season, but I see them dropping more points at Stoke on Saturday.

Prediction: 1-1

West Brom vs Southampton
Saturday 8th April 2017, 15.00

West Brom lost 2-0 at Waford on Tuesday night and Southampton won 3-1 at home to Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

Tony Pulis will be disappointed after a weak showing at Vicarage Road and the fact that his side couldn't get themselves back into the game despite playing against ten men for 25 minutes. He relies on his form at the Hawthorns, though, and will be looking forward to this game.

Southampton ended Palace's good run with a fine 3-1 thanks to goals from Nathan Redmond, Maya Yoshida and James Ward-Prowse. Claude Puel's men showed great desire to score twice in the last five minutes to win the game.

West Brom are strong at home but I've been impressed with Saints recently and I think they'll leave with a point on Saturday.

Prediction: 1-1

West Ham vs Swansea
Saturday 8th April 2017, 15.00

Two sides who lost in Gameweek 31 meet each other here. The Hammers lost 3-0 at Arsenal and the Swans lost 3-1 at home to Tottenham.

West Ham have lost their last five league games in succession and are only five points above the drop zone. Slaven Bilic will be a nervous man after a poor performance at Arsenal and a worrying recent lack of form.

Swansea surrendered a goal advantage, scored by Wayne Routledge, as they conceded three late Spurs goals. Paul Clement will be gutted that his side couldn't hold on to the lead, or even for a draw after Dele Alli's 88th-minute leveller.

Both sides are in need of points here. Swansea have dropped back into an ever-changing bottom three and West Ham aren't far ahead of them. I fancy the Hammers to end their losing run here though, with home advantage a factor.

Prediction: 2-0

Bournemouth vs Chelsea
Saturday 8th April 2017, 17.30

Bournemouth picked up a very good point at Liverpool in a 2-2 draw, whilst Chelsea beat Manchester City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Eddie Howe will be thrilled after Josh King's late equaliser at Anfield secured a point for the Cherries. They took an early lead through Benik Afobe, but Liverpool turned the game around and seemed to be heading for all three points before King's finish.

Eden Hazard was the star-of-the-show as Chelsea became the first ever team to do a league double over a team managed by Pep Guardiola. It was a deserved victory for the Blues, who maintained their seven-point lead at the top.

Chelsea v Manchester City - Premier League : News Photo

Bournemouth will be buoyed after a positive result at Anfield but Chelsea look to be in a league of their own despite a blip against Palace last weekend. I can't see anything other than an away victory.

Prediction: 0-2

Sunderland vs Manchester United
Sunday 9th April 2017, 13.30

Sunderland lost 2-0 at Leicester on Tuesday, whilst Manchester United drew 1-1 with Everton at Old Trafford the same evening.

Sunderland offered nothing at Leicester and are now a massive ten points from safety with just seven games remaining. The fixtures don't get any easier for David Moyes, who faces his old side on Sunday.

United looked to be heading to defeat at home to Everton, but Ashley Williams handled Luke Shaw's strike deep into injury-time, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic duly converted the penalty. Mourinho's men have drawn their last two, but should feel confident of victory in this one.

Cool from the spot (Getty Images)

This is the perfect game for Man United after a hectic recent schedule. I fancy them for a comfortable victory against a doomed Black Cats team.

Prediction: 1-3

Everton vs Leicester
Sunday 9th April 2017, 16.00

Everton were unlucky not to win in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. Leicester beat Sunderland 2-0 at the King Power on Tuesday.

Phil Jagielka's goal should have been enough for the Toffees in an impressive display, but Ashley Williams will be feeling a guilty man after his instinctive handball. Joel Robles couldn't get near Ibrahimovic's penalty, which was harsh on him after a string of impressive saves throughout the match.

Leicester continue to amaze under Craig Shakespeare and made light work of Sunderland thanks to goals from Islam Slimani and Jamie Vardy. The Foxes have won all six under Shakespeare in all competitions.

This should be a good game between two decent sides. I think there will be four goals in a score-draw.

Prediction: 2-2

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal
Monday 10th April 2017, 20.00

Palace lost 3-1 at Southampton on Wednesday evening, whilst Arsenal beat West Ham 3-0 at the Emirates.

Sam Allardyce's four-game winning run came to an end at Southampton in disappointing fashion. The Eagles were ahead thanks to Christian Benteke, but were pegged back just before half-time and conceded twice in the last five minutes to lose the game.

Arsenal enjoyed a comfortable night against West Ham, winning 3-0 after goals from Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud. It was an important victory that took some of the recent pressure off of Arsene Wenger.

This won't be easy for Arsenal but I think they have enough quality to win here. There will be a great atmosphere at Selhurst Park but I'm going for the away side to get the job done.

Prediction: 1-2

Premier League Predictions - Gameweek 31

There is a full Gameweek in the Premier League this week, spread across Tuesday and Wednesday. I correctly predicted the outcome of four league matches last week, with one perfect score. I called wins for Liverpool, Hull and Watford as well as a draw between Arsenal and Manchester City. My perfect score was Hull's 2-1 home victory over West Ham.

Burnley vs Stoke
Tuesday 4th April 2017, 19.45

Burnley lost 2-0 at home to Tottenham on Saturday and Stoke lost by the same score at Leicester.

Burnley's defeat by Spurs leaves them without a win in seven in the Premier League, losing four and drawing three. They haven't won since January and may be looking over their shoulders as they are now just five points above the bottom three.

Burnley v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League : News Photo
Tom Heaton will be looking for a clean sheet at Turf Moor (Getty Images)

Stoke lost 2-0 at reigning champions Leicester, their second straight league defeat. The game at Burnley comes exactly a month after their last Premier League win at home to Middlesbrough, and Mark Hughes will be desperate for three points.

These are two solid sides and it should be a close one at Turf Moor. Burnley are strong at home, but I fancy Stoke to leave with a point.

Prediction: 1-1

Leicester vs Sunderland
Tuesday 4th April 2017, 19.45

Leicester beat Stoke 2-0 at home at the weekend, whilst Sunderland were 1-0 losers at Watford.

Craig Shakespeare maintained his 100% winning record in the Premier League as Leicester won their fourth straight league match at home to Stoke thanks to goals from Wilfred Ndidi and Jamie Vardy.

Sunderland have lost four of their last five after losing at Watford and remain bottom of the Premier League. They are a worrying eight points adrift of 17th-placed Swansea, but do have a game in hand.

Sunderland need to start winning games, but I can't see them starting at the King Power. Leicester have been great under Shakespeare, and I see him making it five league wins from five.

Prediction: 2-0

Watford vs West Brom
Tuesday 4th April 2017, 19.45

Watford enjoyed a 1-0 home success over Sunderland in Gameweek 30, and West Brom enter this one on the back of an excellent draw at Old Trafford (0-0).

Miguel Britos was the goalscorer as Watford ended a run of four league matches without a victory. The Hornets remain 12th in the table.

West Brom were typically organised and disciplined as they frustrated Manchester United, and former Red Devil Darren Fletcher could have won it for the Baggies, his effort hitting the bar. Tony Pulis will be a proud manager after his side remain 8th and unbeaten in their last two games, against Arsenal and United.

Manchester United v West Bromwich Albion - Premier League : News Photo
Darren Fletcher nearly won it for West Brom at Old Trafford (Getty Images)

I don't often go against West Brom but after such a massive effort in Manchester I can see them losing here. Watford are decent at home and will be confident of making it back-to-back wins at Vicarage Road.

Prediction: 2-1

Manchester United vs Everton
Tuesday 4th April 2017, 20.00

Manchester United were frustrated in that 0-0 home draw with WBA, whilst Everton lost the Merseyside Derby 3-1 at Anfield.

United dominated possession and created far more chances than West Brom but Jose Mourinho's team failed to convert their chances. They were without Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Saturday but he will be back for this clash.

Everton were comfortably beaten at Liverpool in a feisty clash of Red vs Blue. Matthew Pennington scored his first ever Toffees goal at the Kop end to equalise in the first half, but the front three of Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino caused Ronald Koeman's men too many problems as Liverpool got their just rewards.

Everton struggle away to the big boys, which is why I'm backing United here. Ibrahimovic is back, and I fancy him against a weakened Everton backline.

Prediction: 3-1

Arsenal vs West Ham
Wednesday 5th April 2017, 19.45

Arsenal drew 2-2 with Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday. West Ham threw away a 1-0 lead as they lost 2-1 at Hull.

Arsene Wenger will be content with a point after his side came from behind twice against City. Goals from Theo Walcott and Shkodran Mustafi earned the Gunners a point that they deserved.

Andy Carroll scored his 50th Premier League goal on Saturday, but it wasn't enough for West Ham who let Hull in twice in the second half. The Hammers have now lost four in a row and are without a win in six.

Arsenal haven't won in three but I see them returning to winning ways on Wednesday. They should be too good for an out-of-sorts West Ham United.

Prediction: 3-0

Hull vs Middlesbrough
Wednesday 5th April 2017, 19.45

Hull battled back at the KCOM to beat West Ham 2-1. Middlesbrough drew 0-0 at Swansea in Sunday's early game.

Two of Hull's defenders were unlikely goalscorers as the Tigers came from behind to beat WHU. Andrew Robertson and Andrea Ranocchia scored in the second-half as Hull bounced back from a 4-0 drubbing at Everton.

Middlesbrough picked up their first point under Steve Agnew in a drab 0-0 draw at the Liberty. They defended well in the second-half as the hosts applied some pressure, and should have actually left with all three points after Rudy Gestede fluffed a great headed chance.

Boro should be bolstered after a decent performance at Swansea and they will be feeling optimistic ahead of this relegation six-pointer. I think Middlesbrough will approach this in the same way as their game at Swansea, and earn a point with a repeat result.

Prediction: 0-0

Southampton vs Crystal Palace
Wednesday 5th Aptril 2017, 19.45

Southampton drew 0-0 at home to Bournemouth in Saturday's late kick-off. Crystal Palace stunned Chelsea, earning a remarkable 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

Claude Puel will be happy with a point after Bournemouth missed a penalty in the 77th-minute of the game. Southampton are winless in their last two and face one of the league's in-form sides on Wednesday.

Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke scored the goals that meant Chelsea lost for just the fourth time in the league this season. They came from a goal down, too, as they became the first team to win at Stamford Bridge since Liverpool in September.

Chelsea v Crystal Palace - Premier League : News Photo
Palace's heroes at Stamford Bridge (Getty Images)

Palace have won four in a row and are in brilliant form under Sam Allardyce. Southampton need a win, but I think they'll be held to a draw here.

Prediction: 1-1

Swansea vs Tottenham
Wednesday 5th April 2017, 19.45

Swansea drew 0-0 at home to Middlesbrough in Sunday's early kick-off. Tottenham earned a solid 2-0 win at Burnley.

Swansea were the better team against Boro but struggled without Fernando Llorente up front. Gylfi Sigurdsson went close on a couple of occasion but the visitors defended well and a draw was probably a fair reflection.

Goals from Eric Dier and Son Heung-min earned Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs a fourth straight Premier League win. They remain second in the table, just seven points adrift of Chelsea.

Paul Clement has done well at Swansea but I think his side will struggle here. Spurs have looked good even without Harry Kane and should collect another three points.

Prediction: 1-3

Chelsea vs Manchester City
Wednesday 5th April 2017, 20.00

Chelsea suffered that shock 2-1 home loss to Crystal Palace on Saturday, whilst City drew 2-2 at Arsenal on Sunday.

Cesc Fabregas gave the Blues the dream start at Stamford Bridge, scoring after just five minutes, but Antonio Conte's side were 2-1 down just six minutes later after an excellent Palace fightback. Remarkably, they could see their lead at the top cut to just four points if they lose this one and Tottenham win at Swansea.

Man City twice took the lead at the Emirates courtesy of Leroy Sane and Sergio Aguero, but saw themselves pegged back twice by the Gunners. Neither team looked prepared to risk losing the game trying to win it, meaning a draw was a fair result.

It will be interesting to see how Chelsea bounce back from that Palace defeat as it's so untypical of them (their only previous league defeats came at the hands of Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham). This is City's second away game to a big London side in just four days, but I think they'll pick up another point on their travels.

Prediction: 2-2

Liverpool vs Bournemouth
Wednesday 5th April 2017, 20.00

Liverpool beat Everton 3-1 in the Merseyside Derby at Anfield. Bournemouth drew 0-0 at Southampton on Saturday evening.

Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Divock Origi scored the goals as Liverpool ran out comfortable winners against their neighbours. Jurgen Klopp's side were the better side throughout and played some fine attacking football which resulted in three well-taken goals.

Liverpool v Everton - Premier League : News Photo
Derby jubilation for Liverpool (Getty Images)

Eddie Howe will be a disappointed man after his side played well at Southampton but failed to leave with three points. Harry Arter skied a late penalty to let Saints off the hook.

If Liverpool play like they did on Saturday then they'll be fine here. Sadio Mane will be missing through injury, but there is more than enough quality in the Reds' squad to get another three points at Anfield.

Prediction: 2-0
